I am a PhD student at Idiap and EPFL under the supervision of Dr. Jean-Marc Odobez. My research revolves around human-behaviour understanding using multimodal data, with an emphasis on analyzing gaze and social interactions. During my PhD, I have had the opportunity to intern at Meta Reality Labs Research in Redmond, where I collaborated with Calvin Murdock, Yijun Qian, Ruohan Gao, Ishwarya Ananthabotla and Vamsi Krishna Ithapu among others.
Previously, I worked as a Computer Vision engineer at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India, Bangalore in the Intelligent Interior team, where I focused on human pose estimation and gesture tracking. I obtained both my Bachelors and Masters degrees from IIIT Bangalore. My Master’s thesis, conducted under the guidance of Prof. Dinesh Jayagopi (IIIT Bangalore) and Prof. Sriram Ganapathy (IISc), explored the comparison between second language acquisition in humans and machine learning models through the task of audio-visual retrieval. During my studies I also interned at the RIKEN Brain Science Institute through their summer program.
In my spare time I enjoy travelling, hiking and skiing.
I am graduating this summer and am on the industry job market. Please do not hesistate to get in touch for matching roles.
